COMMISSIONING

 
On Saturday 11 March, 1944, 1115 hours, the Commandant of Portsmouth, NH, Naval Shipyard read the commissioning orders, and the colors were hoisted on USS Queenfish (SS393). 8 Officers and 68 enlisted men reported aboard, and at 1120 hours the watch was set.
